Sponsor the Naked Guy do a strap-on-skydive for the NSPCC

My good friend Naked John is doing a sponsored skydive. Unfortunately he is not allowed to do it naked (Health and safety gone mad!) so he came up with a compromise: A STRAP-ON. So here is the deal: he’s naked except for the strap on.

As he can’t do it naked and he would like to, the strap on dildo will be representative of his own size and girth, therefore making up for the lack of nakedness (he can’t apologise enough for not being naked).

Things to note:

It is for the NSPCC, so lets think of the kids here and donate generously.

He’s paying for this himself (!) and no donation money will be going towards his skydive (except maybe his Dad’s money). So unless your his Dad he can guarantee all money donated will go to help kids.

So, don’t be a Dick and report this page for indecent content! You’ll be ruining kids’ lives you Prick.

Here is his link to donate: http://www.justgiving.com/John-Malone0

And here is the link to his Facebook Event where you can find directions on where to go to watch him do it: http://www.facebook.com/events/356790371052979/

Or text the word ‘DILD69£10′ to 70070 to donate £10. or change the ‘£10′ to whatever you want to donate (perhaps add another zero or two)

Please post this to as many people as possible and tweet it if you do that kind of thing and watch the preview videos embedded to meet Naked John for yourself. Alternatively, read about how he became 2ManyDJ’s / Soulwax’s naked mascot in this Guardian article.

Thank you fellow Strap-on fans. lets live the dream together.

Sunny and Soggy Sydney

Well I made it to Sydney twice over my travels. I have come to the conclusion that the city, no doubt has bi-polar weather. It just so happened  whilst I was in Australia, the worst summer they have had in 50 years. Some days I admit it rained, however I also found myself  caught up in a heat wave that scorched up to 37°C.

Arriving from Hong Kong, but back to a western style of living I still experienced some culture changes. The biggest things I picked up on were:

1. You can’t by alcohol in supermarkets. You have to go to a ‘bottle shop’. A lot of these are in fact Drive-Thru boozers. Does that make any sense?

2. Woolworth‘s is a thriving supermarket that sells absolutely everything you need, and not a run down sweets and toy shop.

3. Without any warning at 2 am a nightclub transforms into a Football loving pub. I went to the toilet and returned to the music off, the clubbers gone, and Arsenal v Norwich kicking off. Not only is it strange watching your team scrap a win at 2am, it’s even weirder following a heavy session of Jagerbombs.

4. The cost of living in Sydney is very expensive. For example,  $3.90 (£2.70) for a small bottle of coke, not on my watch sonny boy! On the other hand, buy a bigger bottle and get your name on it!

Places I recommend:

New South Wales Art Gallery

The Rocks, Sydney Harbour Front.(below) A great place to stop for a drink, enjoy the harbour views, explore some unique market stalls and buy a kangaroo bollocks bottle opener.

Wake Up! Hostel near Central Station. – Out of all the hostels I stayed at in Oz. Wake Up was certainly one of the best, cleanest, and spacious. I stayed in a 10 man room and had my own lockers, loads of space and no waiting time for the bathroom. It’s quite pricey, but believe me sometimes it’s not always better to go cheaper in Sydney.

Hyde Park Barracks ( below)

Take an interesting, and quite cheap (with a student/young persons card) tour of the old prisoner barracks restored to its prime. See how the UK’s prisoners lived and were distrubuted into developing Sydney.

Hyde Park – It’s not as big as ours but its just as epic!

Cubify 3D Printer

Las Vegas is this year’s home to the Consumer Electronics show (CES). Currently in its third day, many companies are unveiling exciting new products, gadgets and gizmos.

The one that gets me most excited? The Cubify 3D printer.

Want to see your ideas realised, replace a few lost chess pieces, or simply create something fun and unique? Design your own objects using simple apps for your phone, tablet, computer or Kinect. Send them wirelessly to the printer then see it printing your creation right in front of your eyes. Bringing the world of 3D modelling straight to your doorstep. It’s small, it’s easy to use and it’s not too expensive. Hurrah!

They have even created an online Cubify community to find out more about apps, designs, ideas and sell you creations. Also, Cloud 3D Print; it brings this all to you without the need to purchase a unit for yourself. Just send off your ideas and specifications online then wait eagerly by your door for the postman!

If it hadn’t just been Christmas I would be putting this right at the top of my wish list to Santa!

Clubbing in Mexico. Arrrrrriiibbbaa!!

With just 42 foot of boat to play on and after 5 days at sea, we (okay, Yaz and then Jesse and I after some persuasion/bribery) were pretty desperate to go P.A.R.T.Y in Cabo San Lucas – the most Southernly point of Baja Mexico.

We talk to lots of loacals whenever we arrive in a new town to ask what’s best to do and where the best places are for eating, drinking and wifi-ing, etc. Top of almost everyone’s recommendation list was Mandala (pictured above on the left) & El Squid Roe (also pictured above, and throughout this post) so we went to both after a few cocktails and shisha round the corner.

Although it was great, Mandala was just another club like the ones we see and go to in London so we heckled out El Squid Roe… Oh my god. It seems like every other seafood restaurant in town (apart from it looking like a prison) except the waitresses and barmen almost literally force feed you alcohol in between encouraging you to dance on the tables! I particularly enjoyed the MC waiter/pimp and the fella with no shoes shaking his booty to Beyonce.

Boutique Markets in Portsmouth and Southsea

If you live down south and haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet (or even if you are super efficient and fancy spending money on yourself) then head over to the Boutique Market currently running events in Portsmouth and Southsea areas.

A hubbub of unique stalls selling handmade craft, artists work, vintage clothes, retro items and more. All made or collected by local people and small businesses. The perfect place to pick up that little something that is unique and special and avoid all the mass produced and crowds of the usual shopping centers.

A bunch of (mental) Frenchies combine everything cool (and eXtreme) into one video

RAD teaser trailer for Sebastien Montaz-Rosset‘s new feature length documentary, I Believe I Can Fly (Flight Of The Frenchies), which follows a bunch of Frenchies doing a vertiginous combination of climbing, slackline and tightrope walking – oh, and base jumping!

Check out the trailer above, a free 15 minute segment of the documentary below, and a behind the scenes video at the bottom of this post.

Thanks to another Frenchie, @_Vio_, for the heads up.

How to upcycle your VCR into a toaster

I haven’t used my VCR in years. I bet you haven’t either. So why not upcycle it into a toaster for burning a nice big VHS stamp into your breakkie?

If that doesn’t take your fancy, you HAVE to check out Instructables.com for ideas and instructions on how to make almost anything, from almost anything.

Tribute montage of Steve Jobs made from 100s of Apple products

I’m sure, seeing as you’re using the internet, that you’ve probably read one of the many stories reporting Steve Jobs’ death at 56 from pancreatic cancer. I think this montage of Steve Jobs, made with a montage of hundreds of Apple products is a nice reminder of his life and influence to the industry.

If you’re visiting the Apple.com home page today you’ll find that they’ve placed a very simple, sleek and ‘Steve Jobs’ style tribute to him. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, you can email rememberingsteve@apple.com too.

UPDATE: Just spotted another great tribute image to Steve Jobs using his silhouette and the Apple logo. Check it out below, and on Jonathan Mak’s site.

Beers & pies delivered to your door by O2 for the Rugby World Cup

Intrigued by a random text message he received, my dad signed up for an ‘O2 breakfast Pack’ to enjoy the England v Scotland Rugby World Cup match on Saturday.

Yesterday, 2 beers, 2 pies, a St George’s flag and a postcard were delivered to his door. They arrived in the post in a polystyrene container surrounded by ice and perfectly chilled with a postcard of New Zealand from the England lads representing their country.

I’m impressed, obviously (hence this post), although it was a little early for the match on Saturday so we’ll probably get tucked in sooner!
